Celsas’s Steel and Construction Chair, has been established in the Civil Engineering School at the Universidad Politécnica of Barcelona.

The aims of this Chair are numerous and very interesting. Among others we can emphasize:

• The creation of prizes for thesis and research work.
• The impulse of materials’ research and their use within the field of the Chair.
• The collaboration with the University in the diffusion at different levels, including at the student level, of the techniques and materials that are being used in industry, so that the students are familiar with them once they finish school.
